Komsomolsk on Amur is a city in Khabarovsk Krai in Russia. It is the administrative center of Komsomolsky District. The city lies on the left bank of Amur River. It is located in Russian Far East. The city has total population of 263,906. It is ranked as 70th largest populated city of Russia.

History of Komsomolsk on Amur
Mongols conquered this city in 13th century. It became a Russian empire due to the treaty of Aguin in 1858. The Russian government decided to build shipyards in the city. The city was granted as the individual town status in 1933. City is upgraded after the construction of shipyard along with supporting equipments.
