The City of Penza. A beautiful City on Sura River of Russia 

This city is the administrative center of  Penza Oblast. The city has the population of 517,311 people ( Data 2010) . It is the  34th largest city of Russia by its population.

It is located on Sura River . It lies on the southeast side of Moscow. Total area of the city is 43,200 km2. The city is nearly 400 miles distant from  Moscow city.

History of Penza

It was founded in 1663. And started to develop by 1640. In 1633, architect came to this region. And constructed of fortress to protect from outside attacks.

Climate of the City

Winters have the average temperature of around -10 ◦C. In summers, it usually remains 25 ◦C. The highest and lowest recorded in the city is 40 ◦C and – 40 ◦C.
