Ulan Ude is the capital of Republic of Buryatia in Russia. It’s an Asian city with the population of 404,426. It is on 45th largest among all the cities of Russia with reference to population. (Data 2010)

Total area of the city is 347.6 km2. It is located on Uda River.

History of Ulan Ude

This city was founded in 1666. It was once the fortress of Buryat and Cossacks. With time, this city became an important trading center among Russia and China. City is now advanced in terms of buildings and beautiful architecture.

Climate of Ulan Ude

It’s a warm city with an average high temperature of around 23 C. The cold season starts from October and continue till April, May, with an average lowest temperature  of around -30C.
